Board governance and leadership is a unique challenge. Teri has had multiple opportunities to not only serve on some of central Iowa’s most prominent Boards of Directors, but to assume a leadership role through some of the most challenging times these organizations have faced.

For the Better Business Bureau and the Blank Park Zoo, Teri helped guide the Board through hiring a new President and CEO for each organization. When the Stoddard Cancer Center established their first Board of Directors, they asked Teri to join as an inaugural member. And as President of the Hoyt Sherman Place Board Teri successfully launched the largest capital campaign in the organization’s history, leading to a massive expansion of the popular, historic property and entertainment venue.

In these and other positions, Teri has also led multiple Boards and committees through restructuring and updating of bylaws and procedures. Her steady hand and deep experience have helped many organizations solidify their volunteer leadership tor the long run.
